 Aloha, I’m Shaijah Aloha Love (Shy-uh), the founder of Love's Organic Farm

Love's Organic Farm began on a small patch of land in a flood zone, overgrown with seven-foot weeds and stubborn nutsedge. What looked impossible became a place of transformation. With faith in God, patience, and devotion to the ʻāina, I began restoring the soil through prayerful stewardship, soil testing, composting, and cover cropping. From that humble beginning, a living farm—and a living vision—was born.

As the farm took root, I pursued formal training at University of Hawaiʻi Maui College, pursuing my Associate’s degree in Sustainable Tropical Crop Management, along with GoFarm Hawaiʻi and AgPro certifications. I studied soil science, tropical crop production, irrigation, and agricultural business, weaving academic knowledge with hands-on farming and community service here on Maui.

Through community connection and word of mouth, my CSA grew to serve families across the island. I farmed organic lettuce in Kula, supplied local markets, and expanded into hydroponic and regenerative systems. After the Lahaina wildfires in 2023, I felt called to deepen resilience and nourishment through mushroom cultivation. Today, we grow lion’s mane, shiitake, and vibrant oyster varieties alongside an abundant diversity of vegetables, herbs, fruits, and flowers.

Our harvest reflects both Maui’s richness and our values: organic seeds, regenerative soil practices, compost, and plant-based, veganic nutrients. CSA bags are filled with the colors of the island—lettuces, tomatoes, basil, peppers, roots, beans, mushrooms, citrus, bananas and other seasonal fruits, and blooms—grown with care, integrity, and aloha.

At its heart, Aloha ʻĀina Farm is more than a farm. It is a ministry of the land, a commitment to community, and a testimony of faith in action. Rooted in Christ, grounded in the ʻāina, and guided by aloha, my work is devoted to cultivating food, healing soil, and nourishing Maui—one harvest cycle at a time.
